Andrés Pacheco-Girón
Andrés is an audio producer and reporter with over five years of experience in newsrooms, podcasts, and, more recently, audiobook publishing. His work has appeared on Latino USA, Today In Gay, WNYC, Feet in 2 Worlds, palabra by NAHJ, and Ballotpedia’s On The Ballot. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, he’s worked in major newsrooms like Caracol Radio and La Silla Vacía, as well as with independent outlets such as Mutante and Cuestión Pública.
He has covered a wide range of topics—from immigration and politics to organized crime, social justice, music, arts, and science. He’s especially drawn to stories where personal experiences meet bigger, more complicated issues—particularly when they involve tough choices, his favorite kind to tell.
Andrés earned his Master of Arts in Podcasting and Audio Reportage from NYU’s Journalism School, where he was part of the program’s inaugural cohort. He also holds bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and History from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá.
